Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Paediatric Occupational Therapist located in Melbourne, VIC, with some work from home acceptable. The Paediatric Occupational Therapist will be responsible for assessing and treating children, developing individualized therapy plans, and working collaboratively with families and other healthcare professionals. Day-to-day tasks include conducting therapy sessions, monitoring progress, providing support and education to parents, and maintaining accurate documentation of treatments and outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Occupational Therapy work or volunteer experience and skills
  • Neuro-affirming and family centred practice skills
  • Passion for inclusion
  • Sound understanding of the impact of sensory preferences on engagement and regulation

Sound understanding of doffernt neurotypes and attachement

  • Excellent Communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with children and families
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Registration with the AHPRA
  • Experience in pediatric occupational therapy is a plus
  • Commitment to continuous professional development
