We are looking for an experienced
Project Manager (Data and Risk/Governance)

for one of the government organisations in Sydney.

Required Skills

  • Experience working as
    a Project Manager, with some exposure to Risk, Governance and Data
  • Extensive experience
    in providing project management, or project delivery, working in complex organisations and working with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Previous experience in a
    Strategy or enterprise project delivery
    team is preferred.
  • Strong experience and understanding of the
    financial services
    industry and
    especially insurance and who is capable of managing the operational side of the business
  • Relevant tertiary education
    in either
    management consulting, strategy, project management,
    or equivalent knowledge and skills acquired through extensive practical experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development, implementation and ongoing enhancement of organisational processes and delivery of improvement initiatives to promote continuous improvement and further the execution of the R&G Strategy.
  • Manage the project and give some insight regarding what systems will work better.
  • Lead and/or contribute to projects, development of policy, systems or processes and conduct research as required.
  • Development of the Risk and Governance strategy in conjunction with the R&G Leadership Team, and ongoing monitoring of strategic initiatives and tracking of performance.
  • Support the development and monitoring of the Risk and Governance business plan in line with the client enterprise business planning cycle.
  • Supporting the R&G team members with delivery of strategic initiatives.
  • Monitor activities of the R&G team to ensure compliance with corporate risk policy, procedure and governance frameworks, monitoring completion of internal audit actions and resolution of incidents, providing advice and recommending action where appropriate on issues relating to risk, budget, activities and resource management.
  • Develop and maintain a schedule of meetings and events for Risk and Governance, manage the overall operating rhythm of the function including the overall governance framework and key forums in order to support the effective execution of R&G initiatives.
