We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated Duty Managers to join our team on a casual or part-time basis. This role is essential in supporting the smooth daily operations of the cinema, ensuring high standards of customer service, and leading our team during shifts.

As a Duty Manager, you will predominantly work nights, weekends, and peak periods (such as school holidays). Our cinema operates 364 days a year, so flexibility and availability during busy periods are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise Cinema Workers.
  • Respond to customer enquiries.
  • Monitor cinema operations including rostering allocations.
  • Coordinate and monitor Cinema Worker training.
  • Open and close the cinema.
  • Complete daily and weekly cash reconciliation and banking procedures.
  • Contribute to the teamwork of the cinema, leading by example.
  • Provide basic first aid as required.
  • Initiate and maintain customer service, safety, and compliance in line with policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrate competence in setting work priorities for self and staff.
  • Demonstrate conflict resolution skills.
  • Assist with programming, creating playlists, and scheduling films.
  • Monitor and maintain film presentation of the highest standard.

About You

  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and resolve conflicts calmly.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to excellent customer service.
  • Reliable, flexible, and available to work nights, weekends, public holidays, and peak periods.
  • Previous supervisory or cinema experience is desirable but not essential.
  • RSA and First Aid certifications are desirable.
