About the role
We are seeking an experienced, strategic and resilient Associate Director to join the Program Delivery and Implementation Unit within the Financial Planning and Analytics Branch. This is a key leadership role responsible for driving major finance transformation initiatives that support better value care, improved health outcomes and informed decision-making across the NSW Health system.
You will provide expert strategic advice, lead complex reform programs, and champion initiatives that optimise financial management and activity-based funding across the Ministry of Health and NSW Health entities.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in complexity, is confident operating in high-pressure environments, and can influence outcomes in a dynamic system-wide context.
About you
You are a highly capable and motivated leader who brings:
- Extensive experience in health funding, financial frameworks, and system-wide program delivery.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and negotiate complex, high-stakes initiatives across diverse stakeholder groups.
- Strong strategic thinking, analytical capability, and the confidence to influence decision-making at senior levels.
- Proven success delivering complex programs under pressure, with resilience and a proactive approach to problem solving.
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills, with the ability to drive collaboration across organisational boundaries.
- A deep understanding of the NSW Health system, including financial, operational and governance processes.
Please note: During peak program periods, extended hours including evenings and occasional weekends may be required to meet critical delivery timeframes.
