Director / Associate Director – Core Infrastructure (Asset Management & Transaction Lead)

Our client is a leading global infrastructure investment platform with over $15 billion in AUM and a diverse portfolio spanning renewables, energy transition, and broader core and core plus infrastructure. Their Australian-based investment and asset management team (c.20 professionals) oversees both greenfield and operating assets across APAC and globally.
The Opportunity
We are seeking a senior Associate Director / Director to play a key role within the core infrastructure transactions and asset management team. This position will focus on the active management and value realisation of established core and core-plus assets—driving transaction processes, enhancing performance through board participation, and supporting strategic capital recycling initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and execute transaction processes for mature core and core-plus assets, including preparation, diligence coordination, investor engagement and negotiation.
- Represent the fund on portfolio company boards, contributing to governance, strategy, and operational improvement initiatives.
- Partner with asset management and investment professionals globally to optimise portfolio performance and implement value-accretive strategies.
- Oversee external advisors across legal, financial, and technical workstreams through the deal lifecycle.
- Contribute to internal valuation, performance reporting, and capital planning.
About You
- 9–15 years' experience in infrastructure investment, asset management, or investment banking (Infrastructure focus).
- Demonstrated capability to independently run a full sell-side or buy-side process.
- Strong understanding of financial modelling, valuation, and transaction structuring.
- Experience working across core and core-plus infrastructure (transport, utilities, energy, or social infrastructure).
- Confident boardroom presence and ability to influence key stakeholders.
