Founded over 15 years ago, we've grown into Australia's #1 website (based on quotes delivered) for solar, battery, EV charging and hot water heat pumps, connecting thousands of Australians each month with reputable, vetted solar installers.
Origin Energy acquired SolarQuotes in December 2024. However, we continue to operate as an independent business unit, with the support of a multi-billion-dollar company when needed, and with turbo-charged growth.
About The Role
Our IT team plays a pivotal role in designing, building and maintaining our custom back- and front-end infrastructure.
We're looking for a kick-ass IT Manager to join our team. This role will be hands-on from the start, working closely with a talented team to ensure every project is executed with precision and excellence.
When you join, you'll begin in a developer capacity, immersing yourself in our systems, tools, and workflows to understand how everything fits together. This onboarding phase ensures you have a solid foundation in our technology stack and development processes.
After successfully completing your probation period, you'll be given broader system access and will begin taking a more active role in managing release cycles, overseeing deployments, and shaping our IT strategy for the future. This is a unique opportunity to grow from a developer position into a leadership role within a company on the move and leading the charge in the Australian solar industry - an industry that leads the world, with more solar per capita down under than anywhere else. Seriously. The world is watching.
The role is ideally based in Adelaide, with two days in the office and three days working from home each week, but we are open to exceptional candidates elsewhere in Australia.
About You
You are great at your job, but feel stymied by corporate environments.
