Role Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate estimates, cost plans, and budgets
  • Receive, record, and analyse subcontractor and supplier bids
  • Compile preliminaries estimates and provide recommendations on risk, margin allowances, and tender opportunities
  • Develop and maintain strong subcontractor and supplier relationships and database
  • Lead the preparation of tender summary sheets, labour histograms, and detailed quotation analyses
  • Mentor, support, and develop junior estimators and cadets
  • Negotiate with clients and consultants throughout the tender process
  • Maintain document control and filing systems in line with company processes

Role Requirements:

  • Minimum 6–8+ years of local commercial construction estimating experience
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications
  • Software proficiency: Buildsoft / Cubit or similar
  • Experience tendering projects between $2M–$25M (and upwards)
  • Strong knowledge across a variety of construction sectors
  • Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Sound understanding of construction law and business practices
  • Positive, professional, and collaborative team player with strong communication and problem-solving skills
