Job description:

The role:

As we continue to deliver complex civil infrastructure and renewable energy projects across Australia, we're looking for a Senior Estimator to join the Pre-Contracts team.

Reporting to the Pre-Contracts Manager and working with the wider team, you will play a key role in the preparation and execution of key tenders across our national business, producing accurate, competitive and commercially smart cost estimates.

Role will be based at our brand-new South Melbourne head office.

Your everyday:

As a Senior Estimator, you will coordinate bid responses across delivery, estimating, commercial and partner inputs, ensuring each submission clearly demonstrates our capability, value and experience.

• Preparing bids and tenders for various defence projects including bridges, intersections, roads and drainage etc
• Monitor current competitive prices, new techniques and cost trends
• Develop accurate estimates through first principles pricing of direct and indirect job costs
• Develop, train and identify improvements to the tendering systems, including facilitating the improvement and upskilling the team
• Identify and implement learning and development opportunities amongst the team
• Be a key contributor in the continual improvement of internal systems and processes

Who are you?

• Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or related field

• More than 5 years' experience in construction cost planning, tendering or project delivery working on diverse tenders/projects across Infrastructure sector

• Multi-disciplinary estimating experience on projects $10M+
• Ability to lead a tender and work on multiple tenders concurrently
• Experience with Expert Estimation software
