Headquartered in Victoria with a national footprint, they are now investing in a permanent Queensland presence off the back of significant project wins.
The Role
You'll be the face of the business in Queensland, growing key accounts, delivering complex projects, and building a high-performing local team.
Reporting to the Director of Engineering & Asset Management (National), you'll be supported by a team of engineers, drafters, project managers, bid professionals and a back office team to ensure delivery capacity while you grow your local team.
You'll define the strategic direction of the Queensland office, setting technical standards, shaping client relationships and driving innovation.
The role will focus on:
- Business Growth: Mapping out and pursuing opportunities in the Queensland market. Lead opportunity pursuit from early positioning through to negotiation
- Project Delivery: Oversee the delivery of projects, including the allocation and management of resources, ensuring projects are delivered to the expectations of clients.
- People: Recruit, mentor and develop the QLD team; create clear career pathways and a team culture that champions collaboration and recognition based on merit.
- Innovation: Champion exploration and utilisation of new technologies to ensure that clients receive market leading solutions with unparalleled efficiencies.
As the ideal candidate, you will have
- Circa 10+ years working as a Civil Structural Engineer at QLD engineering consultancies
- Extensive experience in the delivery of a projects within the transport infrastructure industry (road and rail)
- CPEng and RPEQ qualifications
- A strong local network and a proven track record with transport operators/asset owners and winning work
- Proven project leadership and people management capability
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Curiosity and interest in data-driven engineering and how to turn insight into value for clients
