We're hiring a Customer Service Representative at Velspices

Velspices is a leading Indian and Sri Lankan grocery retailer based in Melbourne, and we're looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Customer Service Representative to join our growing team.

Job Type:

  • Casual / Part-Time
  • Minimum 6 days a week (flexibility to choose which 6)
  • Starting with 4 hours per day, with the opportunity for more hours based on performance

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answer customer phone calls and resolve enquiries or escalate to the relevant team
  • Respond to customer emails via Outlook
  • Manage incoming chats via WhatsApp
  • Track and manage customer service tasks on Trello
  • Handle order queries and product updates via Shopify
  • Provide assistance with data entry and admin tasks as required

Ideal Candidate:

  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills
  • Confident phone manner and problem-solving mindset
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and stay organized
  • Willingness to learn new systems and tools

Bonus Skills (Not Mandatory):

  • Familiarity with Excel or Google Sheets
  • Experience with Shopify, Outlook, or Trello
  • Previous customer service or retail experience

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $24.95 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 24 per week
