About the Role:

Due to business growth, Murrell Freight Services are recruiting broadly across the business and are currently seeking motivated individuals to join our dynamic team.

This key role will assist in executing the administrative and allocating function in our team. This role is full-time and will play a vital role in administering data, communicating with various staff, and ensuring operational excellence and customer satisfaction. Reporting to the Transport Manager and working closely with the Allocator, this role is essential for maintaining our high standards of operational efficiency in the Operations team.

What the Role Entails:

  • On the job training will be provided, to help you learn the complexities of transport.
  • Assist in overseeing and guiding the fleet of trucks and drivers, ensuring efficient transport operations. Provide task prioritisation and brief drivers on their schedules, routes, and any changes.
  • Manage data administration from job creation to proof of delivery (POD) and invoice preparation. Maintain and update driver activity data for accurate payroll outcomes while coordinating with other divisions to gather and share critical freight information.
  • Maintain proactive communication with drivers, warehouse staff, and internal departments. Provide real-time updates on transport activities and address any issues to ensure smooth operations.
  • Monitor and review day-to-day operations to identify opportunities for increased efficiency. Prepare and communicate recommendations for operational improvements to relevant leadership.

About You:

  • Transport experience is highly preferable but not essential
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Strong computer skills and ability across the Microsoft suite.

Role:

Monday - Friday, either a day or afternoon shift.
