As the Assistant Self Storage Manager, you will play a vital role in the day-to-day running of our facility. Working closely with the Centre Manager, you'll ensure smooth operations, exceptional customer service, and strong sales performance.

You will also be expected to step into the Centre Managers role during periods of leave or when additional leadership support is needed.

We are looking for someone with a background in self-storage or a similar industry, who is computer-savvy, reliable, and motivated to take on more responsibility over time.

• Customer Service: Deliver a high standard of service to all customers - in person, over the phone, and via email.

• Sales and Leasing: Convert enquiries into rentals, upsell where appropriate, and assist customers with selecting suitable storage solutions.

• Site Operations: Assist in the maintenance, presentation, and security of the facility.

• Administration: Manage customer accounts, process payments, handle documentation, and use self-storage management systems accurately (e.g., Sitelink).

• Relief Management: Step into the Centre Managers role during scheduled leave or when required, maintaining full operational oversight.

• Reporting & Compliance: Help ensure the site meets company standards, including daily checks, reporting, and safety compliance.

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Previous experience in the self-storage industry or in a customer service and sales­ focused environment.

• Minimum 2 years' experience in self-storage, retail management, or customer service roles

• The confidence and capability to act in a leadership role when needed, with a view to transitioning into a permanent Centre Manager position.

• Strong computer literacy, including use of customer management systems, Microsoft Office, and online booking tools.

• A proactive and professional attitude with strong problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• A high level of integrity, responsibility, and attention to detail.

• Ability to pass background checks and security clearances as required

• Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Current Australian driver's license / Forklift License and reliable transport

• Must have unrestricted right to work in Australia

This is a Casual role, Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend work on a rotating roster or as required.
