We are looking for a Licensing Assessment Officer to join our team in the Licensing Services Branch In this dynamic position, you will be responsible for investigating and assessing licence applications, renewals, and owner-builder permits. If you are detail-oriented, enjoy problem-solving, and want to make a real impact, this is your chance to contribute to a vital process that keeps our building industry moving forward.

Please note: The QBCC Brisbane office will be relocating from West End to the Brisbane CBD at the beginningof 2025.

Key Outcomes And Accountabilities
As the Licensing Assessment Officer, you will:

  • Process licensing matters in accordance with delegation including refusal of licence applications.
  • Interpret and apply policy and legislation.
  • Undertake research for cases and projects.
  • Represent the QBCC in promotional and educational activities.
  • Represent the QBCC in hearings before the tribunal and courts as required.
  • Participate in planning and change management activities making recommendations for
  • Gather industry intelligence to ensure proactive service delivery.
  • Undertake general administrative duties and support communication across the QBCC networks.
