The Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM) is a member-based organisation that strives to set, maintain and promote high-quality professional standards for Rural and Remote Medicine. This will help to ensure that rural and remote communities have access to safe and accessible health care.

As an Assessment Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring all assessment stakeholders receive exemplary service, support and guidance. This role facilitates engagement and support of doctors on ACRRM's Fellowship pathway, Examiners, Writers and other key roles. You will be responsible for the planning, coordination and timely delivery of all assessments and related activities supported by policies and procedures. Your ability to build strong relationships and effectively communicate will be vital to the success of this role. This is a fast-paced environment where adhering to timelines and having attention to detail is essential.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing end-to-end assessments according to policies and procedures

  • Timely assessment planning, coordination and delivery, including enrolments and coordination of stakeholders to develop assessment content

  • Providing technical support to assessors, examiners, candidates and other key assessment stakeholders during an exam

  • Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement relevant to processes, outcomes and experiences of assessment stakeholders

  • Building and sustaining strong and positive relationships with team members and other internal and external stakeholders

  • Deliver outstanding customer service to ACRRM members, responding promptly to inquiries, resolving issues, and providing accurate and timely information

To be successful in this role you must have:

  • Proficiency in using various technology systems/platforms i.e. Zoom, Teams and other Microsoft products and database including SharePoint

  • Fast learner, the ability to work independently once directed as well as collaboratively in a team environment

  • Proven experience in administration and/or event coordination, customer service and data management

  • Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines

  • High attention to detail and accuracy

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Proactive problem-solving skills and ability to remain calm under pressure

  • Experience and understanding of Assessments in the medical education environment, will be advantageous
