Senior Account Manager (Media 2-4 Years Media/Agency Experience)

About the Role:

We're looking for a proactive, detail-oriented Senior Account Manager with 2-3 years' experience in media or agency settings. You'll play a key role in developing and executing innovative media strategies across traditional and digital platforms, ensuring maximum ROI for our diverse client portfolio. The role is based in Sydney.

What You'll Bring:

  • Proven experience in taking client briefs, providing strategic recommendations, building media plans, setting up campaigns and managing the end-to-end execution.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, generate insights, and optimise campaigns for better performance. Providing clear proactive recommendations across all mediums, including press, radio, TV, ambient, and digital platforms.
  • The ability to identify new opportunities within existing client relationships, including pressure-testing opportunities against briefs and upselling holistic, full-funnel media solutions.
  • Comfortable negotiating rates and placements with external suppliers and media outlets to align with client objectives.
  • A natural communicator who can easily demystify advertising jargon and educate clients on marketing nuances.
  • Knowledge of digital advertising platforms including Google Ads Manager, Google Analytics, Meta Ads Manager, Meta Business Suite, Sprout Social, and StackAdapt (or similar programmatic platforms.

Your Impact:

  • Collaborate with senior clients to understand their business goals and craft customised above-the-line and below-the-line media strategies.
  • Work with a talented group of Account Directors, Account Managers, Account Coordinators, Designers and Digital Campaign Managers in developing and managing projects, from creative ideation to campaign execution and budget management.
  • Set up and manage campaigns aligned with client objectives, continuously testing and refining for optimal results.
  • Deliver ongoing reporting and insights, guiding clients toward smarter media investments.
  • Foster strong and trusted client relationships through transparent communication and strategic advice.
