Procurement Specialist

Our Victorian Government client is looking for a Procurement Specialist who will lead and facilitate the procurement transformation workstream of a major ERP-enabled business transformation program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the procurement subject matter expert (SME) in the ERP transformation program
- Conduct current-state diagnostics and gap analysis to inform the target operating model
- Future State Design & Analysis
- Develop options papers and recommendations for executive decision-making
- Ensure procurement policies, processes, and governance frameworks are aligned with the new model
- Manage end to end procurement activities and documentation.
Skills and experience:
- Experience delivering or supporting ERP-enabled transformations with Tier 1 vendors e.g. Oracle or SAP.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end procurement processes (sourcing, contracting, supplier management, category management and purchasing).
- Extensive experience in IT specific procurement
- Government and/or government agency experience - must have
- Demonstrated experience working with System Integrators or third-party vendors in large-scale programs.
- Strong knowledge of procurement policy, governance, and compliance in regulated industries.
- Independent and autonomous, able to liaise with technical IT staff as required
