About Cbus

Created by workers, for workers, Cbus Super is one of Australia's most successful Superannuation funds. For almost four decades we've proudly represented those who help shape Australia, hard-working individuals who deserve to make the most of their retirement, no matter the industry. About the role

Cbus is hiring a Procurement Specialist to support sourcing projects, contract renewals, and procurement operations. This role involves administrative tasks, supplier engagement, low-value sourcing, and data analysis, with a focus on IT and non-IT contract renewals.

You'll support the Head of Procurement and three Senior Category Managers, manage procurement queries, maintain the contract repository, and guide business-led sourcing through the Procurement Self-Serve Guide. You'll also lead reporting and analytics, support system rollouts (e.g. Basware), and assist with service provider management.

Ideal for someone detail-oriented and process-driven, this role offers the opportunity to work across multiple procurement functions and grow in a regulated, team-focused environment.

This is a permanent role based in Melbourne.

Key Accountabilities

  • Manage low-value contract renewals across IT and non-IT categories
  • Support procurement projects with analytics, insights, and vendor optimization
  • Prepare dashboard reports showcasing performance and compliance
  • Assist business units with purchase orders and procurement guidance
  • Build strong relationships and coach stakeholders on procurement processes
  • Ensure compliance with policies, regulations, and risk management frameworks
  • Support contract renewals, including drafting and negotiation with legal and business teams
  • Support audits and promote transparency in procurement
  • Manage supplier onboarding and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Oversee contract repository, Procurement Self-Serve Guide, intranet updates, and inbox management

What we're looking for

  • Demonstrated experience in a procurement-focused role, ideally with a regulatory lens
  • Solid understanding of the full procurement lifecycle, including RFx, contract negotiation, and management
  • Knowledge of APRA regulatory requirements in the superannuation industry would be highly beneficial but not mandatory
  • Proven track record in process improvement, cost reduction, and risk mitigation
  • Strong grasp of commercial procurement outcomes and contractual terms
  • Highly organised, analytical, and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Advanced Excel skills; Power BI experience preferred
  • Confident communicator with strong stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills
