Description

The Procurement Specialist will lead sourcing initiatives including RFIs and RFPs, ensuring market competitiveness and alignment with business goals. The role involves negotiating and finalising commercial agreements, developing procurement strategies in collaboration with internal stakeholders, and ensuring alignment with broader organisational objectives. The Specialist will also provide governance support to ensure adherence to procurement policies, identify efficiency opportunities, and promote vendor consolidation. Additionally, they will be responsible for delivering savings targets, managing commercial risks, addressing disputes, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Key to the role is the ability to influence change, optimise vendor relationships, and manage complex procurement tasks while balancing timelines and priorities. Regular collaboration with internal teams including Legal, Risk, and Finance is essential to achieve strong commercial outcomes.

Profile

The ideal candidate will bring at least two years of experience in IT procurement, with a strong understanding of sourcing requirements in the technology space. They will demonstrate high attention to detail, advanced communication skills, and a collaborative mindset that supports business partnerships. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, time management, and multitasking is crucial to manage multiple sourcing events and negotiations. A strategic thinker, the candidate will be commercially astute, solutions-focused, and proactive in identifying opportunities for cost savings and improved service delivery. Key personal attributes include motivation, resilience, adaptability, integrity, and the ability to work cross-functionally with stakeholders from legal, risk, and finance backgrounds. They must possess a strong sense of accountability, a customer-centric approach, and a commitment to upholding compliance and safety standards.
