At KPMG, our Finance Division's Procurement Unit is at the forefront of strategic sourcing and category management, ensuring we get the best value and minimise supplier risks across our operations. Your Opportunity
Are you a strategic thinker with a strong background in procurement? We have an exciting new position for a Procurement Specialist - Technology based in Melbourne. In this role, you'll work closely with our Head of Procurement to implement strategic sourcing and procurement processes, ensuring we maximise value for KPMG stakeholders. This role includes offering reporting support and collaborating with other Category Leads to identify and deliver optimal value solutions, with a primary focus on IT software and technology.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Sourcing:
- Develop supply sources, pre-qualify vendors, and perform due diligence activities, focusing on the Technology vendor landscape.
- Lead tender processes and provide recommendations to the Head of Procurement and key stakeholders.
- Perform comprehensive market analysis for targeted categories to support strategy development.
- Manage contracting processes, including bid evaluations, contract awards, and terminations.
- Enhance agreements by incorporating KPIs and SLAs and measure supplier performance efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with KPMG's Procurement Policy and contract management procedures.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers and influence internal stakeholders on changes required in contracts.
- Achieve cost savings and engage stakeholders effectively.
- Maintain the Contract Database and archive executed contracts.
- Create detailed Contract Management reports and support reporting to key stakeholders.
- 3-4 years of experience in a procurement role with significant exposure to Contract Negotiation and Management, especially with Technology vendors.
- Familiarity with ServiceNow for contract database management and reporting is desirable.
- Strong strategic and analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Proficient in project and time management.
- Ability to engage and influence senior-level stakeholders.
- Proficiency in sourcing-to-contract, strategic sourcing, negotiation, and contract finalisation.
