Control Freq is a Sydney-based specialist in lighting-control system service, maintenance, and technical support. Our core business is ensuring that existing lighting-control systems continue to perform reliably and efficiently across commercial, residential, and strata properties.

We partner with bodies corporate, strata and building managers, building maintenance providers, and electrical contractors to diagnose issues, upgrade outdated infrastructure, and keep complex control systems operating at their best.

Our reputation is built on responsiveness, technical expertise, and long-term client relationships — qualities that make us one of Sydney's most trusted names in the lighting-control industry.

As we expand, we're seeking a motivated and articulate Business Development Representative to help connect us with new clients and projects within the broader property and building-services market.

The Role
  • Identify and contact bodies corporate, strata management firms, building and facility managers, building maintenance providers and electrical contractors.
  • Engage with decision-makers to qualify needs and introduce Control Freq's service offerings.
  • Arrange meetings and site appointments for senior technical and sales staff.
  • Research property portfolios, maintenance contracts, and project opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate records in our CRM and follow up consistently to nurture relationships.
  • This is an outbound call based opportunity with a view to grow into a full Business Development role, for the right candidate.
  • General day-to-day customer service and admin activities

You'll receive full product and system training, along with mentorship from senior consultants who understand the technical and commercial aspects of the industry.

About You

We're looking for someone who combines professional communication skills with a practical understanding of the property or building-services environment.

  • Experience in property, strata, facilities management, building maintenance, or electrical / construction sectors.
  • Strong verbal communication and confidence speaking with trade professionals and decision-makers.
  • Proactive and persistent approach to outbound engagement and follow-up.
  • Ability to organise and manage multiple leads simultaneously.
  • A genuine interest in technical systems and how buildings function.
  • Drive to build a professional career in business development.

Proven sales experience would be viewed preferentially however, the right attitude, curiosity, and professionalism are key.
