About the role

You'll join
our Cloud Operations and Shared Services team and will ensure solutions are reliable, cost-effective, and aligned to enterprise objectives, while also mentoring team members and driving continuous improvement across our cloud capability.

This will include:

  • Partnering with internal technology teams, vendors, and key stakeholders
  • Designing, developing and implementing best practice, enterprise-grade AWS solutions,
  • Leading end-to-end delivery of cloud initiatives, including coding, testing, documentation, and support
  • Proactively identifying and mitigating security risks across AWS cloud platforms
  • Sharing knowledge, mentoring your colleagues, and keeping up to date with emerging technologies

Experience and Qualifications

You'll bring:

  • Proven experience working in AWS environments and ideally industry qualifications in AWS, DevOps or Cloud Infrastructure
  • Previous experience as a Senior Engineer, or experience providing coaching and support to your team
  • The ability to leverage your technical skills and business acumen to drive meaningful business outcomes
  • Technically, experience with
    Linux
    Server administration
    , containerization tools such as
    Docker
    or
    Kubernetes
    , and scripting in
    Python, Bash
    along with the ability to automate the creation of
    Amazon Machine Images
    (AMIs)
  • Extensive experience in applying DevOps patterns through Infrastructure as Code using
    Terraform
    , complemented by a strong background in building and maintaining deployment pipelines with tools such as
    Azure DevOps
    (or similar eg GitHub Actions)
