About the Role:

As a Business Development Representative (BDR), you'll not only be a results-driven individual, but have a passion for the Tech, FinTech and the Payments ecosystem. Your curious mind and enthusiasm to be on the front line of Zepto's growth will be the cornerstone of your success. Reporting to our Senior Director of Sales, you will be responsible for identifying and qualifying new business opportunities, nurturing leads, and ultimately contributing to Zepto's continued success.

This role will focus on a sustainable blend of lead generation and Salesforce's savvyness, with the aim of accelerating Zepto's footprint in the payments market.

Working in a scale-up, means you get the opportunity to flex your skills in a variety of ways. We are agile and always willing to roll up our sleeves to get things done. You can, however, expect your day to day to be involved in the following:

  • Generate new leads by proactively researching and identifying new merchants within a variety of industry sectors and markets who would benefit from an enhancement in their payments infrastructure.
  • Conduct initial discovery calls and other multi-channel approaches to qualify leads, gather information about their business needs, pain points, and existing payment infrastructure, and determine a strategic fit for our offerings.
  • Collaborate closely with Account Executives, Marketing, and Product teams to align on target accounts, share market insights, and ensure a seamless handoff of qualified leads.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all prospecting activities and customer interactions in our CRM (Salesforce), ensuring a healthy pipeline of qualified opportunities.
  • Clearly and concisely articulate the value proposition of Zepto's payment solutions and technological capabilities in a consultative, solutions-focused manner, demonstrating how we can help prospects achieve their business goals.
  • Assist with Zepto's go-to-market efforts through planning, representation and participation at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.

About you:

This role will suit any candidate who has a flair for tech, payments and the fintech industry, specifically they will also have:

  • 1-2 years of experience in a BDR or similar outbound sales role, preferably within the SaaS, fintech, or payments industry.
  • Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and persuasively.
  • Sound research and prospecting skills, with a knack for identifying decision-makers and understanding business structures
  • Resilience and a positive attitude in the face of rejection.
  • A natural curiosity for technology and a desire to understand how businesses operate.
  • Proven ability to be highly organised and self-motivated, managing multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Proficiency with CRM software, specifically Salesforce.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred but not required)

This role can be based anywhere in Australia as we work remotely
