A bit about the role
Our Sales Manager will manage Makedo's sales operations by maintaining strong relationships with our local and global accounts, building new partnerships, and overseeing the systems and processes that support our sustainable growth.
Your day-to-day will include:
- Driving partner success by managing and nurturing relationships with our global network of distributors, resellers, rep groups, and accounts. This involves proactive support, identifying growth opportunities, and ensuring strong, long-lasting partnerships.
- Mastering our sales systems by keeping our sales portals, CRM, reporting tools, and workflows humming along smoothly, finding ways to make processes smarter and more efficient as we grow.
- Handling the day-to-day by managing the full sales cycle from client chats and proposals to multi-currency pricing and order processing, making sure every interaction is seamless and professional.
- Supporting our customer service team to ensure our B2B clients experience exceptional support that keeps them coming back and singing our praises.
- Crunching the numbers by diving into sales data and market trends to help forecast revenue, track performance, and spot opportunities, bringing both insights and strategic thinking to the table.
- Collaborating with marketing, product, operations, and finance teams to keep everyone aligned on sales initiatives, share what you're hearing from clients, and make sure great ideas turn into action.
- Support the development of data-driven reports for leadership that showcase account health, wins, challenges, and where we're heading next.
- Representing Makedo on the world stage by travelling internationally to meet partners, attend trade shows, build relationships and generally flying the Makedo flag around the globe.
Let's talk about you
We're looking for someone proactive who can keep our global partners happy by being a data-savvy systems expert who streamlines everything from CRM to pricing while ensuring the executive team is always in the loop.
The kind of person who will thrive in this role will:
- Have a degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field, plus hands-on experience in B2B sales or account management (bonus points for retail/consumer goods experience).
- Have worked across international markets and understand the nuances of global B2B partnerships, including distributors, rep groups, and cross-cultural business dynamics.
- Be the person who enjoys optimising sales portals and CRMs and building workflows that make everyone's jobs easier (and you've got the track record to prove it).
- Know how to keep key accounts happy and growing, turning one-time deals into long-term partnerships that deliver real results.
- Be able to dive into sales data, spot trends, build forecasts, and turn spreadsheets into compelling stories for the executive team.
- Collaborate brilliantly across departments but can also fly solo, juggling priorities, staying obsessively organised, and making things happen without constant supervision.
- Get your message across clearly and confidently, whether you're supporting the development of reports or charming clients.
