About the role
As our WHS Officer, you'll play a hands-on and proactive role supporting apprentices, trainees, staff, and Host Employers across a variety of industries and locations.

This role works closely with our WHS Field Officer and HR Manager to drive safe practices, coach leaders, respond to incidents, and support return-to-work across the business.

It's the ideal role for someone who wants variety, influence, and to make a difference in the safety and wellbeing of young workers.

Key responsibilities

  • Deliver expert WHS advice, coaching and training across multiple sites

  • Partner with staff to improve safety culture and practices

  • Support risk assessments, audits, reporting and compliance

  • Lead WHS incident management and follow-up

  • Contribute to WHS strategy, wellbeing programs and psychosocial safety

What we're looking for

  • WHS experience in skilled trades work sites

  • Sound knowledge of QLD WHS legislation and psychological safety principles

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills

  • Certificate IV WHS (or higher), Qld RRTWC qualification, Blue Card and open Driver Licence required
