Sydney, New South Wales, Australia Archway Practice Full time $60,000 - $80,000 per year

A prestigious solo psychiatry practice located in Sydney CBD is urgently seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist on a part-time/ casual basis.

This is a great opportunity for an autonomous, organised and friendly individual with previous experience working in a General Practice or with a Specialist.

Candidates will need to be available to work every Wednesdays and Thursdays 8:30am – 5:45pm, starting immediately. Please do NOT apply if you are not available on both days.

About you:

  • Polite, friendly phone manner and welcoming persona as the face of the practice
  • Prior knowledge of medical/ administration software such as Pracsoft preferred
  • Prior experience with processing Medicare claims
  • High attention to detail
  • Reliable, honest, and trustworthy character with sensibility regarding patient confidentiality

General duties include:

  • Answering phone calls, phone messages, and responding to emails
  • Scheduling patient appointments
  • Issuing accounts and receiving/processing payments
  • Cash handling
  • Banking duties
  • Stocking office stationery
  • Filing
  • Keeping the office tidy and well maintenance
  • Billing and payroll
