About the Role:

We are seeking a motivated and sales-driven individual with proven experience in retail or direct sales to join our team full-time. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on achieving targets, enjoys building strong customer relationships, and is excited by the opportunity to work in the gold prospecting industry. Knowledge of metal detecting and gold panning is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive sales by providing exceptional customer service and proactive product recommendations.
  • Build lasting customer relationships to encourage repeat business.
  • Assist customers with inquiries, ensuring they receive tailored solutions for their prospecting needs.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of our product range, including prospecting and detecting equipment.
  • Accurately process transactions and provide technical assistance when required.
  • Keep the store professional, clean, and well-stocked.
  • Process inward stock and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Conduct regular stock counts and ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Communicate updates on products, promotions, and website changes.
  • Support the team in achieving overall sales goals and business objectives.

Requirements:

  • Proven sales experience
  • Strong computer skills, including Point of Sale systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Confident communicator, with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport quickly.
  • Strong written communication skills, including professional email etiquette.
  • Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in sales, stock, and customer orders.
  • Genuine interest in gold prospecting/metal detecting (desirable).
  • Availability to work Saturdays
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
