**Who we are**

Pacific Meat Sales is a family-owned business operating for over 30 years, specializing in high-quality meat sales to domestic and export markets. Our focus is on Pork, Beef, and Veal, which are supplied through 5 different brands.

**The Purpose of the Role**

**Responsibilities**
- Assist with day-to-day operations of the HR functions and duties
- Provide clerical and administrative support to the Human Resources Manager
- Compile and update employee records
- Process documentation and prepare reports relating to personnel activities (staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, etc.)
- Coordinate HR projects (meetings, training, surveys etc.) and take minutes
- Deal with employee requests regarding human resources issues, rules, queries and regulations
- Assist in payroll preparation by providing relevant data (absences, bonuses, leaves, etc.)
- Communicate with public services when necessary
- Conduct initial orientation and induction of newly hired employees
- Compliance with OHS procedures

**Requirements & Skills**
- Proven experience as an HR Assistant, Staff Assistant or relevant human resources/administrative position
- Fast computer typing skills (MS Office, in particular)
- Hands-on experience with an HRIS or HRMS
- Basic knowledge of labour laws
- Excellent organizational skills and detail orientated
- Strong communications skills
- Degree in Human Resources or related field
- 2 years experience in a similar role
- Professional, reliable and resilient
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment
