The opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Business Development Manager (BDM) to join our team. You will be responsible for developing and managing relationships with key accounts in the traffic management equipment hire industry. They will work with clients to identify and fulfil their needs and will be responsible for ensuring that all services and products are delivered to the highest standard.
Your tasks and responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Developing and managing relationships with key accounts
- Identifying and fulfilling client needs
- Ensuring that all services and products are delivered to a high standards
- Managing budgets
- Identifying potential customers and markets
- Developing and executing business development plans
- Generating leads and pursuing new business opportunities
- Working with the sales team to close new business
- Creating and executing marketing plans that support the business development strategy
- Measuring and reporting on the effectiveness of the business development strategy
- Managing the tender process
- Quoting
- Strategic pricing agreements
What you will bring
- Proven B2B sales experience including a track history of developing strong sales pipelines across commercial and government clients.
- Experience in the hire industry is desirable.
- Experience/knowledge of tendering and proactively establishing strategic relationships.
- A proven track record of developing and implementing sales plans.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated commitment to quality, organised, self-motivated and self-driven.
