Convergint is seeking an ambitious and results-driven Account Manager to join our dynamic team in Melbourne. This is your chance to become part of a global leader in security, network, and audio-visual solutions. In this role, you'll be responsible for maintaining and growing existing client relationships within a defined portfolio or vertical to drive increased market share and sales opportunities.
About The Role
The Account Manager is responsible for managing and expanding client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and ensuring customer satisfaction. This role requires a combination of sales expertise, technical knowledge, and relationship-building skills to drive revenue growth and maintain long-term partnerships.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Client Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, ensuring excellent customer experience and long-term partnerships.
- Sales & Business Development: Identify new sales opportunities within existing accounts and pursue new business leads to grow revenue.
- Solution Selling: Understand client needs and collaborate with technical teams to propose tailored IT, AV, and security solutions.
- Account Strategy: Develop and execute strategic account plans to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Pipeline Development: Build and manage a strong sales pipeline by engaging with decision-makers and closing deals.
- Client Engagement: Cultivate relationships with potential clients and present tailored technology solutions.
- Presenting & Closing: Prepare and present proposals and pitches for prospects, handle objections, and lead negotiations to secure new business.
- Market Research: Stay informed on industry trends and competitors to refine sales strategies.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis and forecasting to assess sales performance.
Overall, you'll play a crucial role in developing new business and contributing to Convergint's continued success.
What We're Looking For
- Experience: 5-7 years in account management or sales, preferably in audio-visual workplace solutions, electronic security, or ICT sectors, with a proven track record of winning new business.
- Product knowledge: Ideally knowledge of technology solutions such as security systems, and AV solutions.
- Skills: Strong communication, presentation, and leadership skills. Expertise in relationship-building, negotiation, and client management. Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in business, technology, or related fields preferred.
- Personal Traits: A driven, adaptable sales "hunter" who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys opening new markets and building long-term partnerships.
- NV1 clearance preferable
