About Us:
We are a dynamic and growing company specialising in residential and commercial projects. With multiple active sites and a strong pipeline of work, we are seeking a skilled and proactive Construction Project Manager to lead from the front—both in planning and on the tools.
The Role:
As a Construction Project Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end coordination and delivery of construction projects across multiple sites. This role requires a balance of strong leadership, organisational ability, and hands-on construction experience. We're looking for someone who's not afraid to get their hands dirty and can confidently manage teams and operations in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, organise, and coordinate construction projects across multiple residential and commercial sites.
- Supervise teams of 3–18 site workers, subcontractors, and labourers to ensure deadlines and quality standards are met.
- Prepare and review budgets, tenders, and cost estimates for current and upcoming projects.
- Oversee site operations to ensure full compliance with building codes, WHS regulations, and environmental standards.
- Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, and regulatory bodies for approvals, inspections, and project updates.
- Manage procurement and logistics of materials, equipment, and subcontractor services.
- Develop detailed project schedules and track progress against key milestones and budgets.
- Conduct site inspections and risk assessments; implement and enforce safety plans in accordance with WHS legislation.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and resolve conflicts or challenges on-site quickly and effectively.
- Provide regular progress reports to company management, highlighting risks, opportunities, and improvements.
About You:
- Proven experience in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Strong working knowledge of residential and commercial construction practices.
- Comfortable and experienced working on the tools—this is a hands-on role.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously.
- Sound understanding of construction safety regulations and compliance requirements.
- Proficient in budgeting, scheduling, and project reporting.
