Ready to make an impact on a global scale with a local company?
We are CBH. We are what you're looking for.
The Role
Are you detail-oriented and passionate about ensuring accuracy in financial transactions?
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Accounts Payable Officer to join our team.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing high volumes of invoices across all CBH entities, ensuring timely and precise payments to our suppliers. You will play a key role in processing and matching purchase order invoices, processing grain sales and purchase contract invoices and supporting treasury and banking transactions with a focus on delivering accurate financial data.
If you have strong organisational skills and a keen eye for detail, this is the perfect opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and growing team.
Responsibilities include:
Build and maintain stakeholder relationships, handling internal and external account queries
Execute treasury deal confirmations, resolve exceptions, and ensure timely payments and counterparty invoice settlements
Process high volumes of SAP invoices daily, matching purchase orders to invoices for goods/services, ensuring timely payments
Process invoices relating to grain sales contracts, including shipping and related charges in our CTRM System
Conduct monthly Vendor reconciliations, validating data and addressing discrepancies
Perform month end tasks to ensure an on time close of the ledger as well as assist in month end KPI reporting
Assist in the preparation and execution of bank and vendor payments and processing
Management of multiple inboxes to ensure all tasks and queries are completed in a timely manner
About You:
Previous demonstrated accounts payable and banking experience
Proficient in using various accounts payable systems (including SAP and OpenText) and managing interfaces between financial systems
Demonstrated understanding of cash and vendor management and best payment practices
Advanced Microsoft Office skills, with a focus on Microsoft Excel.
Excellent analytical and investigative abilities, with the capability to track invoices and payments for vendor account reconciliation
Highly desirable:
Bachelor's degree/TAFE certificate in Business/Commerce with a focus on accounting and finance or similar qualifications.
Accounts payable experience within the grain industry or commodity trading sector.
Why work with CBH?
Work with meaning and being part of something bigger
Play a critical role in moving WA's grain from paddocks to ports, and on to countries all around the world. With an advanced logistics network and grain trading on a global level, we provide growers with first-class representation in the world's food supply chain.
