We're looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to support our Finance team and ensure the accurate, timely processing of supplier and subcontractor invoices across our busy project portfolio.

About the Role
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Accounts Payable function. Your work will support the financial health of the business through timely processing, strong supplier relationships, and accurate financial data.
Key Responsibilities
- Process high volumes of invoices through Traild P2P and export to MYOB
- Match invoices to purchase orders and delivery dockets
- Follow up with site teams, PO owners and approvers to resolve discrepancies
- Reconcile supplier statements and manage outstanding items
- Respond promptly to supplier queries and build positive relationships
- Escalate urgent or critical payment requirements to the CFO
- Maintain accurate supplier data and assist with reporting
- Support continuous improvement of AP systems and processes
- Provide general support to the Finance team as required
What You'll Bring
Essential:
- 3+ years' experience in Accounts Payable or a similar finance role
- Experience using MYOB Acumatica or similar ERP systems
- Strong understanding of AP processes and financial controls
- High accuracy, excellent attention to detail and data integrity
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Solid Excel and Microsoft Office capability
- Strong organisation and time-management skills
Desirable:
- Experience in construction, civil contracting or mining
- Exposure to P2P systems and supplier reconciliation processes
- Proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
