About the role:
Join our team and play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll delivery. As a Payroll Officer, you'll provide essential administrative support to our Payroll Business Partners, helping to manage end-to-end payroll processes with precision and reliability. Your attention to detail and commitment to excellence will ensure our people are paid correctly and on time, every time. This position is a 12-month fixed-term contract.
Key responsibilities:
Deliver exceptional customer service by assisting employees with payroll queries and collaborating with Payroll Business Partners and internal teams such as Finance and HR.Maintain accurate employee records, process movements (new starters, transfers, terminations), and manage leave while supporting end-to-end payroll operations.Ensure compliance by interpreting and applying legislation, Enterprise Agreements, and company policies to calculate correct entitlements including superannuation, PAYG tax, and leave.Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external regulatory bodies (e.g., ATO, Centrelink) to manage payroll-related matters and associated documentation.Contribute to continuous improvement by participating in payroll projects, resolving processing issues, and ensuring timely, accurate delivery of fortnightly and monthly payroll cycles.About you:
Completion of Year 12 and 1–3 years' experience in payroll or a similar administrative role.Strong written and verbal communication skills, with excellent interpersonal abilities.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and high attention to detail, accuracy, and numeracy skills.Ability to interpret complex Enterprise Agreements, policies, and calculate entitlements including leave, PAYG tax, superannuation, and salary sacrifice.Exceptional time management, problem-solving, and confidentiality skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a high-volume environment.Why join RACQ?
