About the Role

We are currently seeking an experienced Cook to join our full-time team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for a dynamic and creative work environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following key functions:

  • Preparing, cooking, and presenting food according to the restaurant's recipes and standards.
  • Operating and maintaining kitchen equipment, such as grills, ovens, and deep fryers.
  • Storing food under proper conditions and monitoring inventory.
  • Weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients.
  • Monitoring the temperature of ovens and cooking equipment.
  • Performing cleaning and sanitisation tasks in the kitchen and work areas.
  • Supervising junior kitchen staff and assisting in their training.
  • Receiving and checking the quality and freshness of food deliveries.
  • Skills and Experience Required

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A minimum of two years of demonstrated experience as a cook in a commercial kitchen setting.
  • A relevant qualification, such as a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery, or equivalent work experience.
  • A solid understanding of cooking practices, food safety, and hygiene standards.
  • Proven ability to work efficiently and consistently under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
  • A passion for gourmet food and a keen eye for detail.
