About Us:

AMC Integrated Disability Services is a compassionate and client-focused NDIS provider dedicated to empowering individuals to live fulfilling and independent lives. We are currently seeking a caring and patient Female Support Worker to work with a participant who requires gentle, consistent support at home.

About the Role:

The role involves supporting a girl who is currently not attending school and spends most of her time at home. The focus will be on building trust and rapport, providing gentle structure, and encouraging engagement in daily activities. Initially, the support will be home-based, assisting with organizing, daily routines, and creating a comfortable and safe environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build a positive and trusting relationship with the participant
  • Provide emotional support and gentle encouragement
  • Support with developing routines and organisation at home
  • Engage the participant in suitable activities to build confidence and independence
  • Maintain clear and accurate case notes after each shift
  • Work collaboratively with family and the support coordination team

Requirements:

Experience working with children or young people, preferably with psychosocial or behavioural needs

Patience, empathy, and the ability to build rapport over time

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Current Working with Children Check (WWCC)

NDIS Worker Screening Check

Current First Aid and CPR Certificate

Valid driver's licence and reliable vehicle (preferred)

  • Certificate I - IV (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Working with people with developmental disabilities: 1 year (Preferred)
