We're seeking an experienced
Development Manager, ideally with retirement living or seniors housing experience
, to lead the full lifecycle of retirement and mixed-use development projects, from feasibility to completion. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-profile, purpose-driven projects while developing into a Senior Development Manager role within a supportive, high-performing team.

The Role: Deliver with Purpose and Precision
Reporting to the Senior Development Manager and working closely with site and corporate stakeholders, you'll manage multiple concurrent projects and ensure delivery outcomes align with budget, timeline, design, and resident satisfaction goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Delivery & Commercial Management
• Lead feasibility analysis, budgeting, and cost control using Estate Master
• Oversee planning approvals, legal obligations, and compliance requirements
• Ensure developments meet financial, quality, and sustainability benchmarks
• Monitor market trends to inform commercial strategy

Construction Oversight

• Maintain a strong on-site presence and oversee day-to-day delivery in partnership with contractors and consultants
• Award, manage, and administer contracts to support smooth execution
• Champion WHS, design excellence, and environmental performance on-site

Stakeholder Engagement & Leadership

• Collaborate with internal departments, including operations, sales, legal, and marketing
• Engage constructively with councils, delivery partners, and regulatory authorities
• Support clear, empathetic resident communication throughout the project
• Lead and mentor junior team members, fostering collaboration and accountability

About You
To succeed in this role, you will bring:

• Proven experience in retirement living, seniors housing, or aged care development (highly regarded and strongly preferred)
• Demonstrated track record in built-form delivery with a strong focus on the construction phase
• Exceptional interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, including direct engagement with residents and communities
• A resilient, accountable approach to navigating complex projects and challenges
• A growth mindset, ideal for a Development Manager ready to progress into a Senior Development Manager role
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in property, construction, architecture, or a related field
