About the role

As the Senior Manager – Technology Engineering Services, you will lead the operational execution of the Engineering Centre of Excellence (COE) within ART's Technology Engineering Business Unit. You will drive the provision of world-class engineering capabilities and services to support the success of engineering build and operations teams across ART and its partners. This role is pivotal in defining and embedding engineering policies, processes, frameworks, and tooling to enable high performance and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define the engineering vision, strategic direction, and roadmap for the Centre of Excellence.
  • Oversee the implementation of governance, policies, practices, frameworks, standards, and tools to uplift engineering capability.
  • Provide assurance over the adoption and adherence to engineering standards, supporting the effectiveness of engineering and operations teams.
  • Lead the development and scaling of software, data, and quality engineering capabilities aligned with ART's strategic goals and risk posture.
  • Champion the enterprise test strategy, including governance, tooling, automation, and quality assurance practices.
  • Drive the adoption of automation across the software development lifecycle (SDLC), including CI/CD pipelines, test automation, and infrastructure as code.
  • Oversee planning, coordination, and governance of release and environment management to ensure safe, stable, and efficient delivery to production.
  • Build and lead a high-performing team, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous learning.

Your ability to engage stakeholders, embed best practices, and lead high-performing teams will be key to your success. You thrive in complex environments and are committed to continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in leading engineering services within a Centre of Excellence or similar construct.
  • Strong background in software engineering, DevOps, and test automation.
  • Demonstrated success in managing release and environment management in complex environments.
  • Experience in driving engineering transformation and embedding best practices.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Experience in leading engineering design and analysis practices aligned with architectural standards.
  • Ability to champion and embed enterprise test strategies and automation practices.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technology field of study, with relevant certifications (ITIL, Agile, or similar) highly regarded.
