About the role
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sous Chef to join our dynamic team at ONICE in Mosman, NSW. As Sous Chef, you will play a pivotal role in executing our innovative culinary vision and delivering exceptional dining experiences to our customers. This is a full-time position.
What you'll be doing
- Overseeing all kitchen operations and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation
- Participating in the creation and implementation of new menu items, while maintaining consistency with existing offerings
- Supervising and training a team of talented Chefs to foster a positive and collaborative kitchen environment
- Ensuring strict adherence to health, safety and food hygiene regulations
- Actively contributing to the continuous improvement of kitchen processes and procedures
- Liaising with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
What we're looking for
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar senior culinary role within a reputable restaurant or hotel
- Strong working knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques and presentation
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team of Chefs
- Excellent time management and multitasking skills
- Passion for creating innovative, high-quality dishes using fresh, seasonal ingredients
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining the highest food safety and hygiene standards
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
