About the role

We are seeking an experienced and talented Head Chef to join our dynamic team at ONICE in Mosman. As our Head Chef, you will be responsible for leading the culinary operations, developing innovative menus, and ensuring exceptional dining experiences for our customers. This is a full-time position located in our Mosman restaurant.

What you'll be doing

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire the kitchen team in a positive, collaborative environment.
  • Drive creative menu development while maintaining brand consistency and profitability.
  • Maintain the highest standards of food safety and hygiene
  • Oversee financial performance including food costs, rostering, and supplier management.
  • Collaborate closely with FOH, marketing, and operations to deliver cohesive guest experiences.
  • Foster a positive, productive, and collaborative work environment in the kitchen

What we're looking for

  • Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous in a fast-paced, premium restaurant.
  • Exceptional culinary skills and a deep understanding of Asian cuisine (a plus, not essential)
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities, with the ability to motivate and develop a talented kitchen team
  • Exceptional standards in food quality, consistency and presentation.
  • Passion for the hospitality industry and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences
