We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Data and Insights Business Analyst to join our team at Willoughby City Council

About the role

As the Data and Insights Business Analyst, you will transform complex data into actionable insights throughcompelling dashboards, visualisations and reports using TechnologyOne tools.

Your work will support smarter, faster, and better decisions across the organisation.You'll report to the Business Solutions and Innovation Lead, working cross-functionally with teams acros Council to deliver data with purpose enabling a stronger, more informed community.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain dashboards using TechnologyOne Design Studio.

• Optimise data models and queries to support accurate, real-time reporting.

• Design and maintain reports that enable staff to independently access and analyse relevant data.

• Analyse large datasets to identify patterns, trends, and business opportunities.

• Communicate insights clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Ensure data governance, quality, and accuracy standards are upheld.

• Support ad-hoc reporting and analysis for internal teams.

• Continuously improve reporting processes and promote analytics adoption.

Requirements

• Tertiary qualifications in Data Analytics, Computer Science, IT, or related field—or equivalent

• experience.

• Demonstrated experience in data analysis and business reporting roles.

• Proficiency with TechnologyOne Design Studio and XLOne reporting.

• Strong knowledge of TechnologyOne data models and visualisation tools.

• Ability to translate business needs into practical, scalable data solutions.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

• Meticulous attention to detail with a commitment to data accuracy.

• A proactive, customer-focused approach to analytics and problem-solving
