Data Analyst (Looker / SQL / Segment)$120-130k base plus super Sydney / Hybrid Internet Firm A scale-up company that operates in the e Commerce and Internet space is looking to grow out their Data team and add a mid level Data Analyst to their core Data function, ideally with hands-on experience in data modelling and strong viz skills (ideally in Looker).
This role works across multiple functions - if you're technically savvy but can also communicate with the business, this could be for youResponsibilities for the Data Analyst (Looker / SQL / Segment) include : Collaborates with cross-functional teams (operations, customer, finance) to gather requirements and deliver analytical solutions.

Works with engineering to define data needs for new initiatives, supporting schema design, QA, and launch phases.

Partners with finance and operations to establish success metrics and recommend strategies for improvement.

Cleans, transforms, and analyses data to ensure accuracy and usability.

Identifies trends, patterns, and anomalies, providing actionable insights.

Builds and maintains dashboards, reports, and visualisations for stakeholders.

Mentors business stakeholders on best practices for data analysis and tools.

Conducts ad-hoc analyses and supports special projects as a subject matter expert.

Experience & Skills for the Data Analyst (Looker / SQL / Segment) include :3+ years' experience in data analytics (or similar role), ideally within a tech or internet company.

Strong SQL skills with hands-on experience in data modelling, CDP tools (e.g.

Segment), and BI platforms (e.g.

Looker).
Knowledge of dbt, Look ML, and Python is a plus.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical audiences.

Strong analytical thinker, able to design scalable solutions and anticipate edge cases.

Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Bonus: experience with predictive modelling or interest in machine learning techniques.
