**About Us**

The Woolworths Format & Network Development Team is a national team of over 650 people, responsible for developing Woolworths network of retail stores of the future. We are location planners, data analysts, store design & planning people. We are construction, facilities and asset management people. We're architects, sustainability, operations and training people. Together, we're doing our part to bring fresh food and great experiences to our customers everyday.

We use data to guide investments in our store network expansion and renewal programs. We design through creating technology-led, retail store formats that are purpose built for our customers and teams. We innovate by focusing on sustainable energy management, technology, and working with our suppliers, service providers and operations teams to move towards a healthier planet. We maintain all aspects of our supermarkets stores through having highly specialised, skilled team members across all trades. Every choice we make is designed with our customers and teams at the heart.

**The Role**
Our Data and Network Analytics team's core purpose is to support the development of the Woolworths Group Points of Presence plan (Location Strategy) through data, tools, insights and reporting. We deliver end to end strategic initiatives and insight projects and are champions of data excellence across the Woolworths Group. The team will guide our business to renew & deliver stores with the right space, in the right place, at the right time. Our team works across Woolworths group guiding multiple brands and retail types and our service offering continues to grow. As a result of this growth, we require a Data & Insights Analyst.

This role can be based anywhere in Australia and we operate in a progressive, flexible environment with a combination of working from home and office based working.

**Key responsibilities will be**:

- Working within an agile environment to deliver solutions to complex problems using your data and analytics skills
- Data asset management and development to enable reporting and tracking of our store network location strategy, retail market activity, and customer loyalty
- Process and interpret big datasets to derive actionable insights
- Maintaining and building robust analytical tools and reporting dashboards
- Use your excellent communication and storytelling skills to share insights with stakeholders
- Building and managing relationships across the Data and Network Analytics team and wider business to enable collaboration
- Experience in data querying / manipulation (e.g. SQL Server, Google Cloud Platform)
- Experience in database development and data governance will be an advantage
- In addition, skills in Python, Tableau or with Spatial Analytics (GIS) will be highly regarded
- Ability to use data analysis to find meaning in data to specific business context
- Excellent storytelling skills to communicate insights to key stakeholders within the business
- Ability to create impactful slide decks in Google Slides or Powerpoint
- Technical experience building and maintaining tools and reports in Excel or Tableau (VBA experience highly regarded)
- Demonstrated stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills
- Tertiary study in a related area (Data Science, Geography, Spatial Science/GIS, Economics or Mathematics) an advantage
