What's the role?

We are seeking a Customer Service specialist to join our Collections team. This role will play a crucial role in managing our customer accounts and ensure timely payments for our early-stage arrears portfolio on our secured and unsecured loan portfolios. You will assist in managing collection activities to maximise recoveries while maintaining Plent's reputation for outstanding customer service.

What else will I be doing?


• Manage portfolio of overdue accounts: Assess customer financial circumstances and identify solutions to assist our customers in restoring their loans to good standing.


• Implement solutions for our customers: Assess and respond to proposed debt agreements, create structured payment plans, undertake skip tracing and bankruptcy petitions and liaise with our external collections agencies.


• Create a collections culture: Implement and document effective collections processes to ensure best practice collections culture


• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of all communications, payment arrangements and actions take for each account.


• Build relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with senior management and our other internal teams


• Compliance: Ensure all regulatory obligations including the NCCP Act, Privacy Act, ASIC Regulatory Guides and AML/KYC requirements are upheld. Upon successful completion of probation, you will have the opportunity to work two days a week from home.

What type of skill set and experience will make you successful?

  • Proven experience in a high-volume customer service environment, such as: Call Centre's, Retail or Hospitality.

  • Demonstrated ability to handle inbound and/or outbound calls professionally and efficiently.

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage confidently with a wide range of customers.

  • Proficiency in using CRM systems, call logging technology, and other customer service tools.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to customer support.

  • Previous Collections experience is highly desirable however, not essential.
