James Bennett, Australia's leading library supplier is seeking a full-time Schools focused Sales Consultant join our innovate and dynamic Sales Team. You will assist with growing new business as well as managing our existing customer base. The role will involve promoting and supporting our product and service offering to School market across Australia.

We are seeking an energetic applicant with experience in Sales, Account Management, and the School Library sector. The successful applicant will be passionate about creating incredible experiences for our customers. Key to success is building knowledge and understanding of School Library needs through proactive relationship building to foster existing partnerships and grow new business.

Reporting to the Sales Manager this permanent full-time role involves:

  • Managing our existing Schools customer base and growing market share across Australia.
  • Engaging with customers to enhance product success and retention.
  • Identifying and targeting potential prospects and key growth opportunities.
  • Ensuring that all customers and prospective customers are across the company's products and services.
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to deliver excellence in customer service.
  • Travel to attend customer meetings and conferences as required.

You need to be:

  • Experience working with Libraries and/or Schools background is highly desirable.
  • Experienced in building and maintaining customer relationships with a passion for people.
  • Capable of working independently and within a team.
  • Energetic with a positive attitude.
  • Well organised, able to prioritise and manage your time to maximise results.
  • A confident and engaging presenter.
  • Proactive in identifying opportunities for sales growth, improvement and success.
  • Excellent writing skills for email communication, sales call reports and sales proposals.
  • Intermediate computer skills including MS Office and Salesforce or other CRM software (desired but not essential).

A Key aspect of the roll will be meeting with customers and prospects, therefore travel to sales appointments and conferences is required. Applicants will need to have a valid drivers license.

We are interested in applicants living in Melbourne or Sydney. This will be a remote work from home role with a requirement to travel to conferences and customers meetings inter-state, as well as the James Bennett office in Sydney as needed.
