James Bennett, Australia's leading library supplier is seeking a full-time Sales Consultant to contribute their skills to our innovate and dynamic Sales Team. You will assist with growing new business as well as managing our existing customer base. The role will involve promoting and supporting our product and service offering to a variety of library types from across the library sector, including but not limited to; public, school, and tertiary libraries.

We are seeking an energetic applicant with experience in Sales, Customer Service/Account Management, and/or the library industry. The successful applicant will be passionate about creating incredible experiences for our customers. Key to success is building knowledge and understanding of library needs through proactive relationship building to foster existing partnerships and grow new relationships.

Reporting to the Sales Manager this permanent full-time role involves:

  • Managing a customer base and/or territory.
  • Engaging with customers to enhance product success and retention.
  • Identifying and targeting potential prospects and key growth opportunities.
  • Ensuring that all customers and prospective customers are across the company's products and services.
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to deliver excellence in customer service.
  • Travel to attend customer meetings and conferences

You need to be:

  • Experienced working with libraries (desired but not essential).
  • Familiar with Library Management Systems (AIT, Polaris, SirsiDynix, & Spydus, etc)
  • Experienced in building and maintaining customer relationships with a passion for people.
  • Capable of working independently and within a team.
  • Energetic with a positive attitude.
  • Well organised, able to prioritise and manage your time to maximise results.
  • A confident and engaging presenter.
  • Proactive in identifying opportunities for sales growth, improvement and success.
  • Excellent writing skills for email communication, sales call reports and sales proposals.
  • Intermediate computer skills including MS Office and Salesforce or other CRM software (desired but not essential).

Our office and warehouse are located in Brookvale, on Sydney's Northern Beaches. We are seeking applicants who are able to travel to sales appointments and conferences as required, including overnight travel, applicants will need to have a valid drivers license.
