We are looking for a hands-on Field Service Technician (BeneVap Technician) , based at our Crowley Vale workshop. You will play a crucial role in BeneTerra's mission to deliver exceptional outcomes for our clients, combining mechanical maintenance and fabrication skills support, while putting an environmentally conscious approach first.

The Role

This hands-on role will suit someone with a background in fabrication, mechanical maintenance, welding, or fitting and turning who enjoys both variety in their work and travel.

As a BeneVap Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance, testing, repair, and fabrication of components of our industry changing BeneVap equipment. This includes on-site welding (including stainless steel), sometimes in cramped or confined spaces, along with general maintenance tasks to ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently.

The position generally works Monday to Friday with flexible working hours and is based at our Crowley Vale workshop. The role involves regular travel to our equipment on customer sites all over Australia and NZ.

What You'll Do

• Performing maintenance, fabrication, and repair work on BeneVap units and associated systems.
• Conducting welding and fabrication tasks, particularly with stainless steel components.
• Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs to mechanical and electrical systems.
• Supporting installation, testing, and site maintenance activities.
• Attend to breakdowns when needed (often handled remotely).
• Conduct all work with an environmentally friendly approach.
• Work closely with engineers, project managers and site operators to keep systems running smoothly.
• Contribute to R&D and design improvements for our unique BeneVap technology.

About You

We're looking for someone we can invest in long-term, who cares about the quality of their work and the impact it makes.

You may be:

• A qualified tradesperson (boilermaker, welder, fitter & turner, mechanical maintenance technician, or similar), or
• A final-year apprentice working toward completion, looking to take the next step (we can support sign-off for the right person).

You'll thrive as a BeneVap Technician if you:

• Enjoy hands-on technical work, fabrication, welding, and problem-solving.
• Are practical, calm under pressure, and take ownership of getting the job done right.
• Have mechanical aptitude or trade experience (fitter & turner, boilermaker, welder, mechanical maintenance) - training provided on BeneVap systems.
• Are open to working in confined or cramped spaces, (welding on stainless steel experience highly regarded).
• Are physically fit and healthy, and able to complete work occasionally in isolated or remote outdoor locations.
• Are available to travel by road and air as required.
• Want to work in a team that values honesty, respect, and long-term impact.

We also require an open driver's license, current passport and Covid-19 vaccination.

First aid, WAH, EWP, Confined Space and White Card are desirable but not essential.

We're ideally looking for someone to start in the new year, though the right candidate may be able to begin earlier.
