We are a well established restaurant and are looking for a Chef to join our kitchen

team and deliver consistently high quality meals using the freshest of ingredients.

The position is a full time role involving scheduled weekend work. We are offering

the suitable candidate a base salary of $ super (above award wage)

for a 38-hour week.

In this position, you will:

  • Contribute to menu development by creating recipes using local and seasonal ingredients, undertake costing and prepare budget
  • Control and rotate stock, estimate supplies, undertake timely ordering ensuring within budget
  • Inspect kitchen facilities and equipment to ensure operability, cleanliness and meeting safety standards. Arrange maintenance as required
  • Co-ordinate and supervise mise-en-place prior to service
  • Meet with customers to discuss menus for special occasions such as weddings, parties, and banquets
  • Direct and supervise food preparation, demonstrating techniques as required
  • Cook menu items using a variety of techniques
  • Train and supervise kitchen staff

We are looking for someone with

  • A Minimum of 2 years experience as a chef.
  • Relevant Qualification in Commercial Cookery
  • Have a creative mindset
  • Supervisory skills
  • Confident approach and results driven
  • Flexibility with hours and approach
  • Good communication and technology skills
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure to deliver timely and quality results.

Pay: $70,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
