Join a high-performing team delivering capital works projects across Queensland. This role offers the opportunity to lead and manage building projects that support essential public services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate all aspects of building project implementation activities including pre-design, design, documentation, contract administration and post construction activities and assisting in taking responsibility for the quality, cost, cash-flow, timeliness, and suitability of the building product delivered to the client.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships to ensure project success and profitability.
  • Mentor and support project staff, ensuring quality assurance and performance standards.
  • Oversee contract administration and ensure compliance with relevant policies and procedures.
  • Prepare reports, manage budgets, and monitor project timelines and deliverables.
  • Act as Superintendent or Principal's Representative under construction contracts.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in project management within the building and construction industry is essential.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Knowledge of contract systems and construction legislation.
  • Current QLD Open Driver's Licence.
  • General Safety Induction Card (White Card).

Highly Regarded

  • Experience with Justice, Youth Justice, or Correctional projects.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications (e.g., Project Management, Architecture, Engineering).
  • AIPM RegPM or equivalent certification.
