Are you an experienced IT Team Leader ready to take ownership of a high-performing support team?

Join a leading organisation based in Macquarie Park in this fully onsite role, where you'll lead a team of six Level 2 Desktop and Field Support professionals providing end-user and on-site support across Sydney. You'll play a key role in driving performance, lifting service standards, and creating a motivated, customer-focused culture. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who enjoys being close to the team, visible across the business, and proactive in solving problems before they escalate.

What you'll be doing

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of six Level 2 Support Technicians (desktop).
  • Oversee day-to-day operations, workload management, and service-level performance (SLAs and KPIs).
  • Act as the senior escalation point for complex issues, ensuring fast and professional resolution.
  • Build strong relationships with business leaders and key stakeholders across operations and corporate services.
  • Drive continuous improvement in service delivery, documentation, and communication standards.
  • Foster a positive, accountable, and high-performing team culture.

About you

  • Proven experience leading Level 2 / Desktop / Field Support teams.
  • Strong technical grounding across Microsoft 365, Windows, and end-user computing.
  • Confident, "firm-but-fair" leadership style that builds trust and accountability.
  • Excellent communicator who can engage with both technical staff and senior business stakeholders.
  • Organised, calm under pressure, and motivated by delivering results through people.
  • Familiar with ITIL or ITSM frameworks and service management tools.
