Explore the Opportunity
We have an opportunity for someone to join our team as an Industry Integrity Officer - Data. In this role, you support the industry by being responsible for the collection, collation and distribution of industry data relating to pig price, slaughters, imports and exports.
Here's a snapshot of your day-day activities:
- Working with external industry data providers along the whole supply chain, in the collection of weekly, monthly, and quarterly data.
- Ensuring data reports are accurate and distributed in line with expected timelines.
- Liasing with APL team members to identify and resolve any data issues within Power BI and the Data Warehouse.
- Responding to stakeholder (internal and external) queries.
- Manaing the industry benchmarking project.
- Providing production / industry data and sharing industry insights, as required.
- Working with team members and the Program Manager – Industry Integrity to identify opportunities for continuous improvement of the quality and efficiency of industry data collection and reporting.
- Promoting industry traceability by supporting producers, processors, saleyards, and jurisdictions to understand and use the PigPass system.
- Maintaining communications with producers and other industry stakeholders to ensure they feel connected to the APL team, and are aware of industry issues, challenges, opportunities, and APL activities.
- Assisting in the organisation and execution of industry and other APL-supported events, as required.
About You
To be standout for this role, you'll be able to tick the following boxes:
- 3+ years experience in a similar role
- Strong IT skills, and proficient with Dynamics 365 (Power User), Excel and Power BI
- Demonstrated ability to work to, and achieve deadlines
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team or autonomously, when required
Location and Hours
This is a full-time role based in our Canberra office (hybrid work options available).
